The principals Denis Rooney and Mike Smith have many years experience leading organisations tasked with delivering major policy initiatives and complex development, regeneration and infrastructure projects. Their combined experience covers every aspect of visioning, delivering and managing large complex projects with significant property and infrastructure elements.

Denis Rooney

Dr Denis Rooney CBE, FRICS

Denis is a senior business leader with many years experience in leading private and public sector organisations.

He trained as a chartered quantity surveyor and set up the surveying and project management practice DRA in 1984.DRA grew to be one of the largest practices in Ireland before being acquired by White Young Green plc in 2003. Denis was appointed CEO of WYG Ireland and grew the Irish business threefold before retiring in 2008.Denis chaired the International Fund for Ireland from 2005 until 2012.

Denis has extensive experience in delivering major construction and infrastructure projects as well as public/ private partnerships.

Denis holds the following positions currently:-

- Board member of the Strategic Investment Board NI Ltd

Denis has received the following awards; CBE for services to the Northern Ireland economy and the community in 2008 MBE for services to the Northern Ireland construction industry in 1988 Inductee into the Invest Northern Ireland Hall of Fame , 2008-2009 Honorary Doctor of Science, University of Ulster, 2010 Recipient of the All Ireland Award from IBCNI and IMCA, 2010 Denis is an experienced broadcaster and conference presenter on subjects including entrepreneurship, management and leadership ,economics, urban regeneration, the construction industry.

Mike Smith

Professor Mike Smith FRICS,FRTPI

Mike is a senior business leader with over 35 years experience in leading private and public sector organizations. A graduate of Trinity College, Dublin and Queen's University,Belfast.Mike is a chartered surveyor and chartered town planner. Mike was appointed Director of Development for Laganside Corporation in 1989 and led the Corporation as CEO from 1997. In 2002 he moved to Titanic Quarter Ltd as CEO and Managing Director,leaving after 10 years in 2012.
